Whether you are looking for a new career or just want to experience the open road, Carolina Trucking Academy is the place to start. We prepare you for earning a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Our students graduate in just 4 weeks or 16 weekends (Saturday training only) with a starting income potential of up to $34,000 annually. In addition, most carriers offer excellent benefit packages including life and health insurance, retirement plans, and paid vacations. Some trucking lines offer a tuition reimbursement plan as well.

Admission Requirements
The requirements for admission at Carolina Trucking Academy are as follows:
- Student must be 18 years of age. A student under the age of 21 cannot drive across state lines.
- Must be physically qualified and drug free. A student must pass a DOT physical and drug screening upon enrollment.
- Must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License or a Class A Learner's Permit.
- Must have a valid Social Security number.
Students are selected on a first come, first served basis without regard to sex, race, creed, or national origin. We offer flexible class start dates and a low student-to-instructor ratio.
The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requires Carolina Trucking Academy to provide the student a minimum of 160 Hours of instruction before a student can receive a certificate of completion. Carolina Trucking Academy's curriculum exceeds the minimum hours required by NCDMV.
All Carolina Trucking Academy graduates will receive a certificate upon graduation. Special recognition is given to the Honor Graduate of each class.
